Train Your Glutes – A week with Brett Contreras
I am in Arizona to spend a week with Brett Contreras. Brett is the person that revolutionised the way we all train our glutes. If you have done a hip thruster at the gym or frog pumps or used bands to really burn out your glutes chances are you or your coach got the idea from Brett. So this week I’ll be training with him, shooting some video.
I really respect Brett’s approach. He is an academic (PHD CSCS) who has written peer reviewed papers on glutes function and response to training. Brett has trained a whole heap of competitive athletes for sports and figure shows and so he has applied his academic findings in the trenches and seen what works practically.
Brett has also taken the next step and really spread that knowledge to the fitness industry and the world at large via his blog and podcast.
